Hi, I'm Naoki, a Japanese teacher based in Tokyo. I've spent years helping learners from all over the world go from their very first あ to real, confident conversations, and I built cozykotobar so that support is here for you anytime.
I explain grammar clearly and in plain English, at a pace that feels relaxed rather than rushed. I focus on the living Japanese people actually use, and on making each step approachable, encouraging, and genuinely fun.
Wherever you are, from hiragana to N1, think of me as your patient teacher, right beside you the whole way.

Outside of teaching, I manage an English-learning podcast for Japanese listeners, handle social media, and connect overseas game publishers with Japanese game developers.
