“While ~ / before ~ changes.” Act during a favorable state; or note a change that creeps in while doing something.
Formation
Verb (dictionary / ている / ない-form) + うちに
い-adj + うちに; な-adj + な + うちに; Noun + の + うちに

How it works
With a positive state (若いうちに) it means “while it still lasts.” With a ない-form (忘れないうちに) it means “before ~ happens.” With 〜ているうちに it marks a change that creeps in unnoticed.
